The Faraday Flashlight is actually one of the best free gifts I've ever gotten. It has proven to be useful on many occaisons and has yet to fail. No more will I need to use my cell phone to see behind the desk or under the bed. No more will I need to search high and low for batteries. The Faraday Flashlight requires only a quick 10-15 seconds of shaking before you are supplied with 2-3 minutes of lighting through the use of an efficient white LED. Shaking for 30 seconds will provide you with light for around 5 minutes.
This flashlight is small and ideal for such things as emergency kits, camping, or just around the house. The Faraday Flashlight also floats on water and it water proof. The white/blue LED is long lasting and provides sufficient light.
I have only a couple problems with the Faraday Flashlight. The first is that the light isn't as bright as normal flashlights. I assume this is just do to the method by which it is power, and not due to the LED. I would't recommend you use it for anything too important, but for general household use or in your car, it definately gets the job done. The only other problem I had, was that it sometimes didn't turn on. I flipped the switch on and off, shook it a bunch, but had no luck. When I tightened the top, and tried again, I did work. The top really didn't budge or feel loose, so I can't say for sure that it was the cause of the problem.
Overall, the Faraday Flashlight is a nifty tool that serves it's purpose. I can't say I'm in need of a flashlight that often, but when I do start playing with cable under the desk on the back of the pc, it comes in handy. You can find one for anywhere between 14.99 and 19.99 plus shipping. I assume all major online retailers sell them and a good place to check would be Amazon.com.
